Founded by Nathaniel Brooks, former University of Miami Football Star and NFL New England Patriots player, the organization is built on lived experience, education, and purpose. After his professional sports career, Nathaniel returned to school, earned his Master’s Degree, and authored the book “Black With No Excuses”, now available online.
Using himself as a real-life example, The Great Government teaches youth discipline, accountability, and the importance of understanding how they learn.
Our mission is to educate and uplift inner-city youth by teaching the seven learning styles, building strong behavioral foundations, and showing the importance of teamwork, networking, and personal responsibility.
The traditional school system does not teach these seven learning styles — The Great Government does, and will continue to do so as funding allows the program to expand.
We operate year-round fundraising initiatives to sustain and grow our programs.
All funds raised are reinvested directly into youth education, enrichment programs, and community
development.
We serve every inner-city child that is breathing, regardless of race, color, or background.
Our goal is to provide opportunity, structure, education, and hope where it is needed most.
Volunteers are the backbone of The Great Government. Opportunities include: – Assisting at fundraising events – Supporting youth programs – Helping with community outreach – Volunteering at major sports events
